Sikkim is one of the most visited places of Eastern India. With my first trip to the place, what I could only see was the real nature in its pure form. Gangtok being the capital of the state is the base for its tourism industry and thus offers many things to us. Our trip to Gangtok was unique in its own way as it was not a planned one. However, Shah Tours helped us a lot with the trip planning.
This is one place where you can get accommodation ranging from modest Rs. 800 to something around Rs. 10000 also. This way Gangtok truly fits everyone’s pocket. Not only there are numerous places to visit in Gangtok but also there is rich culture warm people and spiritual ambience. To find true inner peace world famous Rumtek Monastery is there to provide you that atmosphere. There are ways out there for trekkers. Leaving aside these famous tourist places in Gangtok, there is calmness of nature and wilderness of the Mother Earth.
For food lovers MG Marg is the best area in Gangtok. Starting from the local delicacies to international food, you get it all. However, we drooled over yummillicious momo and hot thukpa. The winter chill and the hot local food truly made us feel in the heaven. Our escort helped us see the best of Gangtok and have the best of local delicacies. Under his guidance, we could make even more than what people normally see. Our trip was not confined to the famous tourist’s places in Gangtok but stretched to the outer side of the place too.
As it was December when we reached Gangtok, we could see snow in and around the place and the Silk Route to Zuluk was simply outstanding and beyond description. What added more to our trip were the travel agent’s mind-blowing offers. Their guided tour, quality of service and offers made the trip worth more remembering. Shah tours would surely be my recommendation for Gangtok and Sikkim tour.
