How to Reach Lachen

By Air:

By Rail:

From the station of New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, one can travel to the all the districts of Sikkim. Khangchendzonga National Park is one of the six sanctuaries that are present in Sikkim and is the closest one from the village of Lachen, situated in the Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. This is a sanctuary which is situated in the Yumthang Valley of North Sikkim and covers a total area of 43 sq km.

One of the oldest Buddhist Monastery of Sikkim that is situated in Lachen Valley is the Lachung Monastery, which is also known as Lachen Gompa.
