The cable car ride or the Gangtok ropeway opens from 9:30 am in the morning and closes at 4:30 pm in the evening.

Once you obtain the tickets for the ride, you will await for your turn at the waiting room at the same level. The duration of cable car ride is 1 km, and up and down is 2 km.

A complete cable car ride costs INR. 120 for adults and INR. 70 for the children. Please note that children below 3 years are exempted from paying fees. You need to pay an additional amount of INR. 100 for video recording.

It is installed by Damodar Ropeways & Infra Limited of India in conjunction with Garaventa- Dopplemayr Tramways of Switzerland. It is a bi-cable jig back ropeway system.
